"Why don't you want to see him everyday? But both of you attend the same classes together?"

"I'm just afraid of losing.."

"Losing him? As in, to someone else?"

"No.. Not that." She quietly says with her head bent down to her lap. "I'm afraid these feelings for him will fade."

With your special other half, it would have been normal to plan on dates, romantic dinners and maybe even holiday trips to other places. These would be the memorable events on your relationship where you will one day look back and smile (or maybe frown) at the picturesque moments of those times.

Sure. Yes. Definitely.

But what about the normal times when you're with him? What if you see him everyday? Though you may not be living together as a couple in an apartment or a mansion of your own (in a penthouse overlooking a beautiful and fantastic view of a metropolitan city perhaps? You may never know how blessed you may be), but seeing that one person who makes your heart jump so fast or your face turn scarlet could probably wear you off the habit of that as time goes by just by seeing him everyday?

Maybe it's classes, or a workplace, or maybe he could be the guy next door? Whoever he is and wherever you probably see him everyday at, your view of him will increase greatly by number as each day goes by, totally owning over couples who meet once in a while.

But what about the heartbeats that quicken at the sight of him and the scarlet blushes that come when he speaks to you? Will they still remain?

From what we see in life, and whether we admit to it or not, people change. We may cease to have those reactions and seeing the person who like might become something ordinary to your daily life. We may even take the courage to say hi and talk to him one day, and it could become the best decision in your life to do so. But what about the continuation of it? What happens next?

I would say, never take things for granted.

Personally, I am one to do so. I think that everyday I will wake up to the same people around me who have been in my life ever since the beginning and that it will remain the same the next day and the day after. We tend to believe that they will be there for us as they are suppose to. But what if one day, they aren't there?

What if they moved? Or probably changed workplaces, interests, hobbies, and most of all ,personalities?

Once a glass breaks, it can be mended with glue and delicate care, but it will never be the same.

Therefore, as feelings might fade, never take for granted that they will always be there. Cherish, is the most important factor in this situation. Cherish the moments you have with that person, and the people around you. Cherish the things they do for you, even if they might forget. The cute names you call each other, the first meeting, the first time you decided to kick your guts and be brave enough to talk to him. And then while you have learnt to cherish what you have, make some more things to cherish about.

Having time for yourself is important, and this definitely applies to everyone on the planet.

When I met you in the Summer

GOODNESS GRACIOUS!!!! IT IS LE SUMMERRR~~~

But truth to be told, it is always summer here where I live :I but what makes this one special?

Ehem, ehem...

Tomorrow. That day last year, everything changed for me :) and it will ALWAYS and FOREVER be a date that I will cherish until the day that I die. It was the day where my point of view in life took a 360 turn and everything was never the same as before.

This is gonna be short but, never take for granted any day in your whole life. Today might be the worse day of your life, things not going your way, efforts ruined, opportunities missed or maybe the cat just ate your homework. But who says tomorrow is not gonna be better? You just never know and which is why you have to just wait for the new dawn and get there.

The past me used to be sensitive about things gone wrong in my life, and believe me, I've been through a major turn over from positive to negative when I graduated from childhood and entered my early stages of adolescences, and believe me, it wasn't even the hormones. In retrospect, it was a pretty tough life and things got even worse when I was 15. In short, I was miserable, not myself, cynical and I didn't even know the reasons why even though they were right in front of me but I chose to be blind to it.

But all of that is in the past now. It doesn't haunt me as much as it used to. Because I know I have people who genuinely care about me and my well being, and I must learn to love myself for who I am, and after a year of all the battles fought, I'm not the same me as I once was, and I love that fact.

And all of this started, I wouldn't say a year and a day ago before, but rather it was something special that bloomed unknowingly 6 years ago.

But nevertheless, it wouldn't have happened if I hadn't met you in the summer.

Prologue

People are imperfect. We tend to judge too quickly with a glance of an eye. We criticize without knowing the pain felt in the hearts of others. We speculate and gossip topics that have no solid proof. We think we know better than others. We might have different views on things in life.In short, we are all living lives that have one way or another affected people around us with response that are both pleasant and not. We are just ordinary human beings with insecurities and imperfections.

But love is what makes us see past those imperfections, and respect is what makes arguments less often to occur among people with different backgrounds and cultures. Kindness is what makes people believe there is still good in the human race, and hope is what makes us see that there is a light shining in the swirling darkness of that has become upon the world.

This is not a blog about people who made society a better place

Nor is this a recorded history book about well known people who are high profiled and showered with acknowledgement wherever they went.

These are simple stories.

Solidly based on the truth with a dash and sprinkle of fiction, but definitely words with genuine foundation and inevitable happenings from real life.

Whatever you choose to believe in these stories, it is your own knowing.

So these are the stories from trysts over tea.
